Last evening was our last night together as a group. We learned so much about the different types of insurances that are out there for our security protection against any potential losses. What type of insurance while you the must and how did it get your attention and Why?

ReplyDeleteI've learned about different types of insurance and how important they are for protecting us from unexpected losses. As I currently work for the Insurance Commissioner, I am becoming more familiar with insurance regulations and seeing firsthand how people have their claims denied, which leads them to us, so we can try to regulate their insurance companies. Many people are unaware that "Consumer Affairs" exists. People often have their claims denied because they either lacked the correct coverage or didn't fully understand their policies. That experience alone has made me take insurance even more seriously. The type of insurance that stood out to me the most is life and annuity. Because it impacts my family's future and financial stability. Life insurance protects your loved ones by helping cover funeral expenses, outstanding debt, and daily living costs if something happens to me. An annuity also plays a major role because it helps provide long-term income after retirement, when I am no longer able to work. It's all about planning and making sure your family is not left in financial trouble during an already emotional time, which is why this stood out to me the most.

DeleteHi everyone. I am luckily enough to have a wide array of insurances available to me by my job. I have accident insurance, vision, dental, health, critical illness, and many more. I knew of these insurances and use them. I've been paid when things have happened. I found the critical illness helpful. It payed my mom $10,000 when she had a heart attack and $10,000 to my dad when he got cancer.it helped a lot.

ReplyDeleteI am pretty familiar with a lot of the different insurance.. Through my job, They offer a lot of different supplement insurance.. which I am starting now to take advantage of. I wasn’t familiar with the umbrella policies.. That was good information..
Yes the umbrella policies is making me reevaluate my plans to make sure that we are well covered. 2 weeks ago we had a neighbors tree fall in our yard. Thankfully God was covering us and no damage to our home but my sons work van is demolished and because we didn’t have vehicle damage on our home owners policy it’s a total loss. So this was good information that will make me add this onto the plan.
DeleteHi ladies hope every one is well. Luckily I have learned a lot about insurance because of the companies I have worked for and my coworkers who have made sure that I am well informed. That knowledge has helped me through the years. But there is always so much more to learn as laws change and with economy as well. This class has lead me to want to make more changes to make sure that my home and vehicle is well insured.

DeleteInsurance has helped me so much in the past. Especially my homeowners insurance because we had a flood about years ago because one of our pipes burst. And literally within 24 hours they had me in a hotel for 2 months and I didn't have to pay anything out of pocket, and they provided money for food and expenses while we were in the hotel the whole time. And I also experience my sunroof being shattered from ice falling off my roof and they put me in Mercedes-Benz for 2 weeks while my car was being repaired. And I didn't have to pay anything out of pocket except for my $100 deposit which I got back once I returned the car. But then after driving my car for a week something else happened where they had to take my car back in and they gave me another week of another car while they fix something they missed.
ReplyDeleteConsumer Affairs helped me fight my insurance company for denying me a medication that will help with my quality of life. Turns out the insurance company didnt even look to see why I need the medication they weren't even in my account 6 seconds before they just denied it but CA help me win the case and I was able to get my medication ASAP. after waiting 2 months.
ReplyDeleteI’m glad you advocated for yourself. There are so many people that go without thinking that they cannot go up against an insurance company.
