Week 10: Taxes

Last evening we learn a lot about taxes and the new tax law changes that are happening now and are about to come. Thank you all for attending.

In 1789, in a letter to Jean Baptiste Leroy, Benjamin Franklin wrote, “In this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes.”

What new tax law did you learn?

  1. I was aware of tax laws before this, but enjoyed learning about how you can claim adults who live with you if you support them. It was really good to know.

    2. This was a great class. I think a lot of us are very insecure when filing and this will help us knowing what questions to ask moving forward

  2. I'm glad that we have this discussion because I literally had the paperwork on my desk to fill out for taxes next year and it answered a lot of my questions about filing jointly with my husband and how we claim our kids. I also have had kids for a while and I'm always had that Bell increase as she spoke about but now I'm coming down off that roller coaster it sucks but there's more income to make out there.

  3. This discussion was so informative. There are so many things that most are not aware of, especially that there are resources that can help assist at no charge. This makes me more confident moving forward.
